Animal Priority ?

Sometimes it makes me think so much about us. Us refers to Indians. When I am on wheels, my thinking capability grows multi fold and the various thoughts about politics, people, cricket, technology, new music, speeches, me giving TED talk on one day etc erupt in my mind. Mind is really fascinating and also extremely imaginary. One of the topic I was thinking about today when I was heading home in my bike was about tomorrow's Bakrid festival.

Out of the very few festivals Muslims celebrate, Bakrid is one of those. Yes I was happy that there was long weekend. Happened to see a huge trucks carrying 100s of goats for tomorrow's festival. Me being hard core vegetarian, I always hated blood shed, except on Game Of Thrones. Now for people's yummy meal, there is a huge amount of massacre of the poor goats. Goats are scapegoats indeed. Never tasted the meat and not going to as well. But I have nothing against them eating meat.

I have few things to mention about Adarsh Liberals. Couple of days back, when I was browsing web, I saw a tradition where buffaloes were killed because of a tradition in Nepal. I also saw a huge furore about this inhumanity of Hindus by these Adarsh Liberals. If a poor animal is being sacrificed in the name of the God, Adarsh Liberals wake up and start a huge debate on that. But where are these Adarsh Liberals on the day of Bakrid ?? Double Standards indeed.

I am truly against cruelty on any animal, May it be Hindu traditions which kills goat or chicken in the name of the God or Islam which kills goat or chicken in the name of sumptuous meal on the auspicious day of festival or huge turkey killing in the name of Thanks Giving. I feel like asking why should some animals given some preference over others. Kill a stray dog , you will be given a bad stare at by people. Why don't people love hens, goats and sheep just like dogs and cats ?? All of them do have feelings right ?

I may have less apprehension on these eating meat . But I guess my logic is clear.
